This is the Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from the Neiman-Marcus urban myth. Look it up on the Web. Turn on the oven to 150°C, 300°F.Soften the butter. Cream the butter and sugars using an electric mixer on medium, until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract for another 30 seconds. Sift the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl, and beat in the butter mixture on low speed for about 15 seconds. Fold in the chocolate chips. Spoon egg-sized portions of dough onto baking-paper covered trays, leaving 50-75mm clearance to allow the cookies to spread. Gently press the dough with the back of a wet spoon, or clean fingers,to spread out into a 50mm circle. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Cook a little longer for a crisper biscuit. Makes about 2 dozen From Neiman-Marcus’ web site. |
