Saute the finely chopped onion with the spices in 1 tablespoon of butter until softened. Reduce the heat and stir in the rest of the butter and flour. Make a paste and gradually add milk to make a fairly thick 'white' sauce. Add the smoked mussels and gently simmer until just heated through. Serve with fresh pasta. |
